Is Mortal Kombat 1 on Xbox Game Pass?

At the moment, Mortal Kombat 1 is not coming to Xbox Game Pass. While the Microsoft service is home to fighting games like Guilty Gear Strive and Killer Instinct, NetherRealm hasn’t decided on bringing the latest Mortal Kombat game over to Game Pass. Microsoft hasn’t advertised the game in any Game Pass reveals so it’s safe to say that we won’t see MK1 on Game Pass at launch.

But if you’re itching for some Mortal Kombat action, the previous title, Mortal Kombat 11, is on Game Pass. This lets you explore the game’s classic rivalries and powerful characters on Earthrealm for yourself. Note that the new Mortal Kombat 1 reboots the storyline with a new beginning and a wide-ranging cast of legendary fighters in new roles. The previous game, Mortal Kombat X, was also on Game Pass.

The fire god Liu Kang, Scorpion, and Johnny Cage are notable highlights in MK1. Characters like Mileena and Kitana also have new stories this time. The game also uses a new Kameo fighter system for assists. This utilizes new Kameo fighters like Sonya Blade, Kano, Jax, and Frost. And there’s a chance that the latest game eventually makes its way to the service just like MK 11.

That’s everything you need to know about Mortal Kombat 1 on Game Pass. As we wait for the Mortal Kombat 1 release date this September, stay tuned for the latest updates on this violent spectacle of a game franchise. The reborn Mortal Kombat universe offers a new fighting system and game modes for players on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
