Thanks to free Units in Marvel Rivals, you can purchase some of the most amazing skins without spending a dime. Units are used primarily for shop purchases, and you can unlock thousands of them for free. Considering that Legendary bundles don’t cost more than 2,400, you can afford these as a free-to-play player as well.
In this guide, we will reveal how you can unlock over 3000 Units for free.
How to unlock free Units in Marvel Rivals
Achievements
With nearly 40 characters, Marvel Rivals has a lot of diversity. From flying heroes to melee brawlers, you’ll have to change your playstyle when trying out different heroes. However, the best thing is that you can earn free Units while playing with them!
You can earn most of the free Units by completing Heroic Journey Achievements. These require you to try out different heroes and perform specific tasks with them. There are two tiers of these tasks, with some of them being harder, such as landing three KOs with critical shots as Black Widow, and others being easier, like pinging “Fall Back” three times as Star-Lord.
By completing Heroic Journey Achievements in Marvel Rivals, you will unlock 1500 free Units. Furthermore, you will unlock two skins and two titles. On top of this, you can also unlock Chronoverse Saga Achievements, which are mostly about performing specific tasks on the map, such as gaining control of the Quiet Council in Krakoa. By completing these, you will unlock 400 free Units.
Quick community tasks
NetEase allows you to unlock free Units by performing several quick community tasks. These will grant you at least 500 free Units, and require you to do the following:
- Join the Marvel Rivals Discord server (100 Units)
- Hero Assembly Event / Refer-a-Friend (300 Units per friend)
- NGP Member (100 Units)
While you can only get the reward from the Discord server and NGP membership once, the Hero Assembly Event is a repeatable task. This means that you can get 300 Units for every friend you refer, as long as they meet all the requirements.
Battle Pass
Whether you own the Luxury Battle Pass or not, you will be able to unlock free Units. The Flower of Krakoa seasonal pass offers 500 free Units, and to unlock them, you simply need to get Chrono Tokens by completing missions. On top of this, you will also earn 200 Lattice, which you can then exchange for Units.
To sum it up, by completing the Battle Pass, you can earn 500 free Units or 700 if you convert your Lattice.
Events
By participating in limited-time events, you can unlock many rewards, including free Units. The first event of Season 2, the Cerebro Database, brings new quests you can complete to unlock a free skin and 75 free Units.
Don’t forget to also unlock all the free skins in Marvel Rivals, as most of them are available for a limited time.
