  • A.J. Brown
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown

When the chips are down, and you’re in desperate need of a score, most times, your best bet is to throw a hail mary and hope your star wide receiver comes down with it. That’s why, before starting a new save in Madden 25, you need to know the best WR ratings so you have a young playmaker to build around.

Of course, knowing the best QB ratings is equally important since high-tier talent like Patrick Mahomes can mask an underwhelming receiver corps. But if you’ve got a top-tier WR as the cornerstone of your roster, drafting or even signing a quarterback becomes much easier because you know you’ve got a weapon everyone can rely on.

That said, we’ve listed the 20 best-rated wide receivers in Madden 25 below so you know who to target in potential trades, free agency, or start a new Franchise mode save around.

To no one’s surprise, Tyreek Hill sits atop the charts as the lone 99-rated wide receiver. And considering the 2023 season he had with the Dolphins, during which he amassed 1,799 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns, and single-handedly won many people their fantasy leagues, it’s a well-deserved placement. Not to be forgotten, though, is the Vikings’ 98-rated perennial All-Pro Justin Jefferson, who, if he hadn’t been injured, might be sitting alongside Cheetah at the top.

Next are two stars who made some of the bigger rating leaps in CeeDee Lamb and A.J. Brown. Despite a slow start to last season, Lamb more than made up for it in the latter half, collecting 139 receptions, 1,274 yards, and 13 total touchdowns after the Cowboys’ week 7 bye.

Conversely, A.J. Brown was consistent throughout the season, earning him a four-point rating jump from 91 to 95. Rounding out the top 5 is Detroit’s WR1 Amon-Ra St. Brown, who saw a more significant rating increase at launch, from 87 to 95.

Now, like in past games, these wide receiver ratings will fluctuate throughout the season to reflect their real-life counterparts’ performances. So even though someone like Ja’Marr Chase is only sitting at a 93 rating now, EA could eventually bump his rating up if he can improve on his relatively disappointing 2023 season.

While you wait for the 2024 season to kick off, though, why not check out the Madden 25 best edge rusher ratings and best LB ratings beforehand?
