How to unlock spells in Lords of the Fallen

If you want to unlock spells in Lords of the Fallen, there are a few ways that you can. The following are methods that you can use to obtain spells in the game:

  • Explore
  • Purchase spells from NPCs
  • Trade Remembrances to Molhu in Skyrest Bridge
  • Defeat enemies

From the beginning of the game, you can choose a starting class that has the ability to cast spells. Check out our best starting class to determine if it is right for you. Once you reach Skyrest, you can talk to multiple NPCs near the Vestige to purchase spells. These are starting spells that aren’t the most powerful but will get you through the start of the game.

Using your Umbral Lamp, you can interact with Molhu after getting a Remembrance to get spells from the bosses in the game. Some spells like Aura of Tenacity can be found by exploring the world. Others like Misery Missile, Poison Weapon, and Umbral Weapon can be obtained later on in the game.

Depending on which type of magic you wish to use, your Inferno and Radiance stats are needed to increase the attack power. For instance, Radiance Magic is enhanced by increasing the Radiance stat, allowing you to deal more damage to opponents.

What magic schools are in Lords of the Fallen?

There are three main types of magic in Lords of the Fallen. The schools of magic are:

  • Rhogar Magic – This school is also known as Inferno magic and uses pyromancy spells like fireballs. Inferno spells scale with the Inferno stat. This is also the magic of the god Adyr.
  • Umbral Magic – This is the magic from the goddess governing the Umbral realm. Umbral spells require an Umbral catalyst to cast and scale off both Radiance and Inferno.
  • Radiance Spells – This school is similar to miracles from Dark Souls or Lords of the Fallen. Radiance spells scale off the Radiance stat and are typically holy-themed like healing. This is also the magic of the god Orius.

What stats are needed to use magic in Lords of the Fallen?

The stats required depend on the type of magic used. Radiance Magic requires the Radiance stat, Inferno Magic requires the Inferno stat, and Umbral Magic requires both spell stats.

Can you purchase spells in Lords of the Fallen?

Yes. You can purchase spells from NPCs in Skyrest Bridge. You can also get them by trading Remembrances to Molhu.
