Where to find smithing recipes in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Getting better gear will help you progress much faster on your journey in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Looting is helpful, but forging your own weapons with Blacksmithing is far more beneficial. In addition, you can make a nice bit of money by selling your forged items. Before you can start, however, you’re going to need to find blueprints, called Sketches. They will detail the crafting process and all the materials you need, but some are harder to find than others. 

Where to find Sketches in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Your first introduction to Sketches will be during the Wedding Crashers main story quest while working with Radovan. Alternatively, you can return to him later on in Tachov to learn how to smith and get your first Sketches. After learning the basics of blacksmithing, you can buy additional Sketches from Radovan.

After that, you can buy Sketches from most blacksmiths and armourers that you meet on your journey. For example, some of the other early locations to get them are with blacksmiths at Trosky Castle and in Nebakov.

In addition to buying them, Sketches can be found as loot in chests or out in the world. Some quests and tasks offer them as rewards as well, or you can earn them through dialogue with NPCs. We have listed the various locations where you’ll find Sketches in the table below.
