Visit any respectable tavern in Bohemia and you’ll have the opportunity for a spot of gambling in the form of a Dice mini-game. Your first opportunity won’t actually be at a tavern but in the small camp you set up with Hans in the Easy Riders main quest. It’s a bit of a baptism by fire and getting to grips with how the Dice game works can be tricky. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to play Dice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Dice rules

The aim of the game is to be the first to reach the score goal, as indicated in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. At the start of your turn, Henry will roll six dice. When these land, you can choose to hold one or several of the dice. As you hold them you’ll see what score each of the different combinations give you under the Selected portion in the bottom-left of the screen. Check the next section in this guide for a breakdown of all the possible scoring combinations.

For the sake of example, we’ll hold the three 3 dice in the screenshot above, giving us a selected score of 600. At this point, you can choose to score and continue, banking those points and re-rolling the remaining dice on the table. Alternatively, you can score and pass, banking the points for that round and letting your opponent take their turn.

If you choose to score and continue, there’s a chance to go bust if there are no point-scoring dice in the next roll. If that happens, you’ll lose all points for that round. From here, you and your opponent take turns holding dice and scoring points until the first player reaches the target score to win the game.

Dice score combinations

Here are the dice combinations and their respective scores. We’ve referenced the die dots numerically for easier reading.

CombinationScore
1100
550
1+2+3+4+5500
2+3+4+5+6750
1+2+3+4+5+61500
1+1+11000
2+2+2200
3+3+3300
4+4+4400
5+5+5500
6+6+6600

  • Note that every additional die of the same value after three will double the score value. For example, 2+2+2+2 = 400 points, or 5+5+5+5+5 = 2000 points.
  • You’ll also occasionally come across the Devil’s Head dice, which plays the role of a joker, effectively adding to the combination either with the same value or the next required dice number in a chain. For example, if you have 1+2+3+4+5, the joker will slot in as a six, giving you 1+2+3+4+5+6 and 1500 points.

Inventory dice

Before starting a game, you’ll have the option to select a dice from your inventory. You’ll find these out and about in Bohemia, starting with the Weighted Dice in the cave behind Tankard in the Easy Riders quest camp. These dice tend to have special properties and techniques that affect how they roll, typically upping your luck. For example, the Weighted Dice tends to land on 1, which you can use to your advantage to score higher points.
