Is Redfall coming to PS5? Now that the current gen Sony console is becoming easier to snap up, FPS fans are wondering whether they’ll be able to play the vampire-themed shoot ’em up on it. But with several recent AAA games being made exclusive to a particular system, some players are predictably worried that they won’t be able to experience Arkane Studios’ thrilling creation.

To help ease your troubles, we’ll be taking a look at the game’s possible availability on Sony’s modern gaming system so you know where you’ll be able to play it. Before we get started, though, check out our Redfall system requirements on PC and Redfall release time for a few more pieces of useful information.

Is Redfall on the PS5?

No, sadly, Redfall is not currently available on the PS5 and it likely won’t be coming to a PlayStation console in the future. This is mainly because Bethesda had previously been acquired by Microsoft back in 2021, which allowed the tech giants to maintain control over any future studio release, which obviously now includes the spooky, vampire-filled co-op entry.

However, Redfall creative director Harvey Smith had previously revealed in an IGN France interview that there had indeed been plans to release their game on the PS5 initially. Of course, this was before the eventual $7.5 billion merger, after which Microsoft immediately told the studio to focus on “Game Pass, Xbox, and PC.”

Smith would then go on to say that they didn’t mind that decision since they would have “one less platform” to worry about. He also claimed that it could be their “biggest game ever” because of the massive player base of Xbox Game Pass, which is sitting at approximately 30 million users at the time of writing.

With that said, this news will naturally be disappointing to fans of the ever-popular Sony console. But there’s always a very small chance that the game could eventually come to the platform – if Xbox and PlayStation can come to an agreement, that is.
