Skills in inZOI are abilities and aptitudes developed by your Zoi to help them grow in everyday life and progress their careers. These are improved by taking part in specific activities directly related to these skills, unlocking new interactions and actions as they are levelled up.
For example, if you level up the Programming skill, you can then sell your apps and programs for profit. The more proficient a Zoi is at Programming the more money you’ll earn. Alongside, higher skill levels unlock new items and recipes along with the ability to influence other Zois in dialogue and interactions.
Skills cover a huge range of abilities, from practical aspects of life like cooking and housework to more creative pursuits like art and instruments by way of cognitive abilities like critical thinking and rhetoric. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the basics of skills and provide a full list of all skills and how to improve and level up each of them.
How to increase skills in inZOI
To increase a skill in inZOI, you’ll need to engage, complete, and partake in activities tied to that skill. Let’s take an example. If you’re looking to level up the Gardening skill, activities like watering plants, talking to plants, and growing and pruning plants will contribute towards increasing the skill.

While your Zoi is engaged in a skill-related activity, you’ll see an icon for that specific skill above their head with a gauge that denotes progress towards the next skill level. Hitting higher levels unlocks new interactions with a handy pop-up message showing up on screen whenever that happens. For example, if you improve your Zoi’s Cooking skill, you’ll unlock new recipes.
You can monitor skill progress by tapping the Zoi Card in the bottom right of the screen and checking the skill box in the bottom left.

There are a total of 17 skills in inZOI. A number of them are only accessible when your Zoi is a child. Conversely, some are locked for Child Zois, unlocking as they age to a Teenager. We’ve marked this below along with what activities contribute towards leveling up each skill. We’ve also noted what each level unlocks, or at least the ones we’ve uncovered so far.

Each of these skills has an associated icon in inZOI: Media Production is a camera, Instrument is musical notes, Performance is a microphone, and so on. You’ll see these alongside interactions and actions. They are useful to determine what skill an action or interaction will contribute towards.
