While it’s good fun playing the goody two-shoes and striving for a high Karma rating, KRAFTON’s life-sim lets you tap into your dark urges to cause chaos and drama. Among the trouble-making tools at your disposal is the option to start and spread rumors.
A good rumor can spread like wild fire, creating all manner of unexpected consequences for your Zoi’s relationships and romances. Planting a spurious seed and watching the grapevine do its thing is a lot of fun. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to start a rumor in inZOI.
How to spread a rumor in inZOI
To start a rumor, click on your Zoi, select Smartphone, then scroll down and choose the Send a Rumor Text option. It’s marked by a red negative Karma action symbol letting you know you’re about to instruct your Zoi to get up to no good.
From there, the rumor will go out on the inZOI social media platform Bubbly and spread by word of mouth between Zois in the city as well. You’ll also get text message updates from Bubbly informing you on the progress of the rumor, including views to get a sense of its popularity. Some tank, while others gather steam, so keep trying if your first attempt is a dud.
There is a second method to spread a rumor, but this requires a Bad or lower Karma rating, preferably Terrible. You’ll want to decrease your Zoi Karma by choosing rude dialogue options, littering, threatening and attacking other Zois, and just generally acting the jerk. Once your Karma level is low enough, you’ll have a new option in the Smartphone menu mentioned above called Send a Malicious Rumor. The results are much the same, but the topic of the rumor is harsher, typically causing more chaos.
Lastly, you can also spread rumors by talking to other Zois. Again, you’ll need a Bad or lower Karma rating to do this. Talk to a Zoi, then tap More, then News, and you’ll see the option to Spread Rumor About XXX XXX, the latter part changing to a Zoi who lives in your city’s name.
