How to get married and plan a wedding in inZOI

Getting married is a major milestone for many players in inZOI and it’s an exciting journey to get to the celebration. Whether you’re marrying another Zoi in your household or an NPC from around the town, marriage is the foundation for starting a family and growing your family home. But the road to get there takes a bit of work, with several steps that you need to check off before popping the question. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the entire process of proposing marriage, planning your wedding, and making the most of your big day in inZOI.

How to propose marriage in inZOI

In inZOI, relationships are divided into three categories: love, business, and friendship. For marriage to happen, your relationship must progress within the love category. Don’t worry about your friendship status – it doesn’t need to be positive to get married.  First, you have to develop a romantic relationship with your chosen Zoi. This will start with neutral interactions, but as you make positive advances, your relationship will gradually shift through stages. Keep progressing your romantic interactions, and your relationship will move from neutral to Mutual Crush and eventually to Sweetheart.

Once you reach the Sweetheart stage, the dialogue option to propose marriage will appear, along with the option to sleep together. Although you can continue to strengthen the relationship further to True Love status, this isn’t required for marriage. When you choose the Propose Marriage option, your Zois will become engaged. At this point, you’ll have the option to either get married immediately or select the Plan Wedding Together option to prepare a full ceremony. After proposing, your Zois will become officially married, and the love relationship slider will reflect their new status as a married couple. An NPC Zoi will also join your household, solidifying the bond.

How to plan a wedding in inZOI

While having a wedding ceremony isn’t necessary for marriage in inZOI, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate with friends and family. If you choose the Plan Wedding Together option, you’ll unlock an event planning menu where you can customize several aspects of your ceremony. Here’s how to organize your dream wedding in inZOI:

1. Choose the wedding details: When planning the wedding, you’ll be able to select options for duration, location, and guests. You can access the planning menu through the Schedule app on your Zoi’s smartphone. This is your chance to personalize the event and make it as memorable as you wish.
   
2. Dress the part: While your Zois will automatically attend the wedding in their usual formal outfits, make sure to set up specific wedding attire in advance if you want them to wear something more traditional or special. There are a few wedding dresses to pick from already, with more expected to show up over time through mods.
   
3. The wedding event: On the day of the wedding, your Zois will automatically participate in the ceremony. A menu will appear in the top left corner of the screen, offering special actions that can be performed by the newlyweds and guests. These actions are optional but can help recreate a classic wedding experience or introduce some fun variety to the event.
   
4. Enjoy the ceremony: While the marriage itself is already official once you propose, the ceremony is your chance to gather your loved ones and celebrate. Relax, enjoy the festivities, and look forward to your married life together.
   

Marriage in inZOI is not only a significant personal achievement but also a requirement for growing your household by having children. On the other hand, if the relationship grows stale or cold, there is always the option to divorce your partner.
