As you upgrade your burgage plots in Manor Lords, you’ll hit a point where you’ll have to provide a small stone Church to meet the two levels of faith residential requirements to reach level 3. As with many things in Manor Lords, you’re left to your own devices to figure this one out and if you don’t know where to look, the whole process can be a bit confusing,

We’ll walk you through how to upgrade the Church in Manor Lords, which works in the same way as unlocking the ability for your villagers to gather up Herbs from Berry deposits. There’s no new building to unlock and build, but rather it’s all about upgrading your existing church.

Levelling up the Church in Manor Lords

To level up the Church in Manor, you’ll first need to have a Wooden Church constructed, which will cost x5 Timber, x20 Planks, and x20 Stone. Timber is gathered by a Logging Camp, which can then be processed into Planks at a Sawpit. Stone is mined from Stone Deposits using a Stonecutter Camp. All three can also be imported if required.

Once the Church is built, click on the building and you’ll see an icon with a church and a plus sign at the top of the window. Hovering over it, you’ll see that clicking on it will upgrade the Wooden Church to a Small Stone Church.

The upgrade costs x5 Timber, x20 Stone, x10 Planks, x10 Rooftiles. Rooftiles can be a little tedious to get early on, so we recommend importing these through the Trade Post. They cost 18 Regional Wealth each and require that you establish a new trading route. Otherwise, you’ll need a Mining Pit to extract Clay from a Clay Deposit and a Clay Furnace to convert the Clay into Rooftiles.

Once the upgrade is complete, you can click on any of your level 2 burgage plots and you’ll see that the second diamond for Church Level under Amenities is now filled out in yellow, confirming that you now meet the two levels of faith requirement to upgrade the houses to level 3.
