Pokemon Go Stardust is a great item for Pokemon hunters as it lets you increase the CP and HP of your Pokemon. Sadly you can’t purchase Pokemon Go Stardust in shops so we’ve put together a helpful guide on how to get Pokemon Go Stardust as easily as possible. Pokemon Go Candy can be used similarly to Pokemon Go Stardust, but it is specific to each Pokemon (eg. Squirtle Candy, Pikachu Candy). We’ll cover getting Pokemon Go Candy in this guide too.

Get Pokemon Go Stardust by catching pokemon

In Pokemon Go you’ll be catching a lot of Pokemon (hopefully), and luckily this is also a great way to get Pokemon Go Stardust. By catching a Pokemon you earn 100 Pokemon Go Stardust.

Get Pokemon Go Candy by catching pokemon

Catching Pokemon in Pokemon Go is also a great way to get Pokemon Go Candy. By catching a Pokemon you earn 3 Pokemon Go Candy that can be used to power up or evolve that specific Pokemon family. You can keep catching the same Pokemon (eg, 10 Squirtles) to rack up the Pokemon Go Candy.

Get Pokemon Go Stardust and Pokemon Go Candy by hatching an egg

Hatch an egg in Pokemon Go and you’ll be rewarded with some Pokemon Go Stardust. You can earn more Pokemon Go Stardust by hatching eggs that require you to have walked a long distance, with different Pokemon Go Stardust amounts being given out based on whether the egg took 2km, 5km, or 10km to hatch.

Hatching an egg in Pokemon Go is also a great way to earn Pokemon Go Candy, but remember that Pokemon Go Candy is specific to each Pokemon family type.

Get Pokemon Go Stardust by defending a gym

In Pokemon Go you can earn Pokemon Go Stardust by defending a gym, but to do this you’ll have to be a Level 5 Pokemon Trainer and chosen a Gym Team. By placing one or more of your Pokemon into a gym you are able to claim a Defender Bonus in the shape of Pokemon Go Stardust (and Pokemon Go Coins). The more Pokemon you have inside the gym in Pokemon Go, the more Pokemon Stardust (and Pokemon Go Coins) you will receive.

You actually have to manually request your Pokemon Go Stardust gym defence reward. To do this press the Pokeball icon, then the Shop, and then the Shield icon in the top right of the screen.
