Asta’s Ascension and Trace materials are needed to level up and increase her support capabilities in Honkai Star Rail.
Learning how Asta’s best builds and how her kit works is half the battle with understanding your characters in Honkai Star Rail. The next step is investing in levelling them up by gathering their required Ascension and Trace materials. These two things will help your characters perform better in every way, enhancing their skills and abilities to make them more viable. As a Fire Harmony character, Asta requires specific materials that can be farmed from the various challenges in the game.

Asta Ascension materials in Honkai Star Rail
To Ascend Asta, you will need to gather Silvermane Badges and Endotherm Chitin, the latter of which is the main Ascension material needed for Fire characters.
Endotherm Chitin can be farmed from the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Blaze. This Stagnant Shadow can be found on Jarilo IV, in the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone. Beat the foe and spend 30 Trailblazer Energy to collect an Endotherm Chitin.
Elsewhere, the Silvermane Badge, Silvermane Insignia, and Silvermane Medals can be farmed from defeating Silvermane guard enemies and other foes associated with Everwinter and Silvermane. We’ve put together a table to show you how much you’ll need to get Imbibitor Lunae to level 80.
You’ll need the following materials to ascend Asta in Honkai Star Rail:

On top of this, you will also need to have sufficient level-up books to increase your character’s EXP. These can be farmed from the Calyx (Golden). To level one character from one to 80 will use roughly 290 Traveler’s Guide, which grants 20,000 EXP per use.
Asta Trace level-up materials in Honkai Star Rail
To fully level up all of Asta’s Traces in Honkai Star Rail, you’ll need to gather these materials. As you play the game, you will naturally accrue a lot of these, but you can always craft more or farm them from specific enemies. Each character needs a Weekly Boss drop from the Echo of War, and Asta requires the Destroyer’s Final Road.
