Wondering how long is Ghostrunner 2 and how many hours you’ll need to play before you see the credits roll? Ghostrunner 2 takes players for a fast-paced, cyberpunk-infused, first person dash through Dharma, a drippy neon city stacked with challenging platforming sections and plenty of enemies out to one-hit kill you.
Though Ghostrunner 2 is definitely designed with replayability and speed running in mind and leans heavily on leaderboards that track level completion times, it’s worth knowing how much time you’ll need to set aside for a casual run. How long is Ghostrunner 2?
Ghostunner 2’s main story is around 12 hours long. However, your mileage can vary depending on your skill level and whether you sample side content or not. Within those 12 hours, you should be able to get accustomed to the game’s pace and mechanics, wrap up the main story, sample a few of the optional challenges, and pick up most of the collectibles spread across Ghostrunner 2’s 18 levels.
Ghostrunner 2 is unforgiving, mainly because you’ll die from a single hit. Some players may find it harder to beat levels. Speedier players, especially those familiar with the series, can likely complete the game in just under 10 hours.
As for completionists and trophy hunters, we recommend setting aside anywhere from 15 to 20 hours. As above the main time sinks here are timed combat or platforming challenges found mid-way through most levels and collectibles, which include memory shards, sword skins, and artifacts.
Those eager to see their name at the top of the leaderboards could conceivably sink hundreds of hours into the game as they try to slim down their completion time for each of the levels. But overall, we don’t imagine most players playing for more than 20 hours of Ghostrunner 2.
