S Tier

The Fruits in the S tier are the best of the best. If you’re able to, use these Fruits whenever you get the chance.

Quake

Quake allows the player to create huge quakes in the ground. It has great crowd-control abilities and is the best Fruit in the game for long-range, defensive play.

Here’s a rundown of Quake’s abilities:

  • Slam- Quake will leap in the air, knocking down enemies and dealing damage.
  • Seaquake- Quake will bring a tsunami, dealing massive amounts of damage.
  • Island Shake- Quake will trap an enemy, and deal damage to them.
  • Eruption- Quake will slam both arms, causing an eruption, dealing low amounts of damage and crowd control.
  • One Fist- Quake will punch, causing a shockwave that deals damage.

So, with Quake, you’ll be able to control your enemies’ movement, all whilst dealing large amounts of damage.

Flame

Flame has a very high damage output with quick cooling times. It’s one of the best all-round Fruits in the game.

Here’s a rundown of Flame’s abilities:

  • Fire Fun- Flame will unleash fire bolts, dealing damage.
  • Fire Fist- Flame will create a devastating fire punch.
  • Beam- Flame will shoot a huge beam of fire. The more charged the beam, the higher the total damage output.
  • Flight- take control of a fly for 20 seconds. During this time, you can hit your enemies, but it is intended as more of a movement ability.
  • Pillar- Ignite nearby enemies by creating a pillar of fire. This ability has a very short range, so only use it if you’re engaging in a melee battle.
  • Enkai- Flame will make a huge ball of fire and direct it at an enemy, dealing huge damage. This is one of Flame’s best abilities and should be used as much as possible.

As you can see, Flame’s abilities pack a serious punch. Used correctly, you’ll be absolutely unstoppable.

Light

Light can pack a serious punch, and if used correctly, could beat virtually any fruit in a one-on-one battle.

Light has the following abilities:

  • Flight- Light will fly in a given direction for 10 seconds, bouncing off of any objects in its path. This is a great ability to get you out of a tight situation.
  • Jewels of Light- Light will fly up in the air and shoot small balls of light, dealing low damage. This is a great move to see where your opponents are hiding, and get some chip damage in.
  • Blinding Combo- Light will initiate a combo. First, it will kick your enemies and pull them into close range. Then, it will release a large shower of light beams, before executing a melee strike. This is a low-damage ability, with a cooldown of about 9 seconds. It will also take 30 stamina to perform.
  • Light Kick- Light will fire a bullet of light from its leg, dealing medium damage. The cooldown for this move is around 7 seconds and will cost you 20 stamina.
  • Mirror Kick- Light will first travel forwards and then kick downwards, dealing an area of effect strike. This is a high-damage move, and will also deal burn damage to your enemies. The cooldown for this move is 8/9 seconds and requires 30 stamina to perform.
  • Guzan- Light will execute a backflip, with a sword constructed of light in hand. Next, it will dash forward and strike enemies. This is actually the highest-damage move in the game. The cooldown is pretty long though, and will absolutely deplete your stamina.

Light’s abilities are pretty hard to master. But, if you’re able to use them to their maximum potential, you will, quite literally, burn through your enemies with relative ease.

A Tier

The A-tier fruits are great choices but would lose to any of the fruits in the S-tier.

Gravity

Gravity has a great set of crowd-control abilities. They’re not quite as effective as Quake’s, but solid nonetheless.

Ice

Ice has the unique ability to stun other players. This will allow you to break up combinations, and get the upper hand on your enemies. This ability alone makes Ice one of the best Fruits in the game.

Bomb

Bomb is able to do massive amounts of damage at once. However, it can feel slow at times, due to long charge times between moves.

Magma

Magma is a solid all-round Fruit but simply doesn’t do enough damage to go in the S-Tier.

B Tier

The B-tier Fruits are solid choices. They’re not overpowered in any way but have some solid abilities.

Barrier

Barrier is one of the most balanced Fruits in the game, with decent attack and range levels, and reasonable cooldowns.

Sand

Sand is a solid Fruit for any crowd-control player, and is effective at any range. However, its cooldowns are pretty slow.

Rubber

Rubber is a great combo-attacker. However, its base damage output is pretty weak and can feel lackluster at times.

C Tier

The C-tier Fruits are some of the weakest in the game. Unless you have no other choice, it’s best to avoid using them.

Dark

Dark has some really cool abilities and is very fun to play. However, its damage output is extremely weak, to the point where it’s unplayable in competitive matches.

Smoke

Smoke has good potential, but a little like Dark is simply unable to keep up with most of the other Fruits. Hopefully, it will receive a buff in the future.

D Tier

Avoid using these Fruits at all costs. They are extremely weak and unable to keep up with the current meta.

Chop

Chop is a pretty abysmal Fruit. None of the abilities do any meaningful damage, it’s only effective at close range, and the cooldown between abilities is far too long to justify.

The Best Fruit for Beginners in Fruit Battlegrounds

If you’re a beginner, the best fruit to go for is probably Rubber. Many of Rubber’s abilities, like Pistol, have an auto-aim feature, which makes it much easier to hit your enemies. Ultimately, this will allow you to concentrate on the more intricate aspects of the game, helping you become a stronger player overall.

Rubber is also a very survivable Devil Fruit in Fruit Battlegrounds. It has great defensive abilities like Rocket, allowing you to dodge incoming attacks and survive longer in battle. Learning how to properly dodge will also pay dividends in the future when you face tougher opposition.

Finally, Rubber is a very easy fruit to obtain, with a rarity of just 16%. This truly makes it one of, if not the best Devil Fruit for beginners in Fruit Battlegrounds.

Once you’ve mastered the basics, make sure to experiment with different Fruits. You might find that you’re stronger with an offensive Fruit, rather than a defensive one like Rubber. And the more you experiment, the better you’ll become.

Final Thoughts

So, that’s everything that you need to know about the best Fruits in Fruit Battlegrounds. The game developers have actually done a great job with the game, and most fruits are at least playable in competitive matches. If you’re serious about winning, and nothing else, play the Fruits in the S tier, as they will be able to take on virtually every other Fruit in the game, and come out on top.

But, if you would rather play for fun, picking any Fruit from the S-B tier is a fine idea. This wider range of options will allow you to choose a Fruit that’s perfect for your play style, making the game more enjoyable overall.
