Fortnite is collaborating with Borderlands once again. The first collaboration took place in Season X, bringing several amazing cosmetics and a Pandora POI on the map. Now, it’s time for Mad Moxxi, one of the franchise’s iconic characters, to come to Fortnite. The skin will come out in late September, but you can also get it early.
This guide explains how you can unlock Mad Moxxi in Fortnite right away. The skin will come to the Item Shop on September 29, and you’ll be able to purchase it for V-Bucks. For now, the only way to get it is through the Epic Games Store.
How to get the Mad Moxxi skin in Fortnite?
The Mad Moxxi bundle was released as a promotional item for Borderlands 4. This role-playing first-person shooter is set to come out on September 12 and will be available in the Epic Games Store. If you purchase it from there, however, you will automatically unlock the Mad Moxxi skin in Fortnite, along with its matching cosmetics.
The entire bundle has the following:
- Mad Moxxi (with a Shader Off variant)
- Moxxi’s Tip Jar Back Bling
- Underdome Megaphone Pickaxe
To get the skin and other cosmetics, you will need to purchase Borderland 4 from the Epic Games Store before September 12, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Once you successfully purchase the item, the cosmetics will be automatically added to your Fortnite account. However, make sure to buy it from your main Epic Games account.
By purchasing Borderlands 4, not only will you get the game and the Mad Moxxi skin, but you will also get a 20% cashback that you can use in Fortnite. With the game costing $69.99 at launch, you will receive approximately $14, which is enough to purchase 1,000 V-Bucks and a starter pack.
