The Blitz mode in Fortnite has been very popular and quite rewarding so far. Despite being out for only three months, the game mode has already had numerous free cosmetics, including two skins. Epic Games recently updated its rewards, adding a pickaxe and a backbling for competitors. The best part? The backbling is available to everyone who scores only five points!
In this guide, we will explain how you can unlock the Woven Fang Pickaxe and the Leopard’s Hoard backbling for free. These free Fortnite rewards are available on Wednesday, October 1, but you’ll also be able to get them on three other dates in the month.
How to get free Fortnite Blitz items?
The new pickaxe and backbling are part of the latest Fortnite Blitz Mobile cup. To obtain them, you will have to compete on your mobile phone. Obtaining the pickaxe is more difficult, as you will have to finish among the top players in your region. The bigger your region, the more top players it will have.
To get the Leopard’s Hoard backbling, all you need to do is earn five points in the cup. The easiest way to do this is by surviving until the top 10 in a few games.
Reaching 10 players left in the match will grant you one point, and you’ll get a point for every placement after this. Furthermore, you’ll get a point for every elimination you get. This means that you can unlock the free backbling by surviving long enough in just one game.
If you miss the cup on Wednesday, it will return on October 9, 16, and 23. Don’t forget to also unlock all the free skins in Fortnite, as they are available for a limited time!
