As the seasons roll on and some of your more senior players start to retire, you’re going to need to start filling the gaps with new youth players. But while it’s easy at first when you already know the likes of Yamal, Cubarsi and Garnacho, things get a bit more difficult when all the new youth players are regens.
We’re going to take you through a quick guide on the best way to scout regens in FM24. So if you’re looking for some young players to add to your ranks, after this, you’ll know how to scout them, as well as where you should be looking at scouting to pick up the best regens.
How to find regens in FM24
Finding regens (or newgens if you prefer) is fairly easy, and can be done the same way you would go about finding other players. Simply head to your scouting centre, and change your criteria to only show players under a certain age. As your save goes on, the age that regens are will grow until they eventually replace all the initial players way down the line.
There are a few ways you can find the best ones though. Firstly, make sure you have the full scouting range possible and the best scouts you can buy. This means you can scout regens from any country in the world, and get the reports on the best ones.
Unless you’re rich, you might have to convince your club to expand their scouting range. Wait until you’re on a good winning run, and use your good favour to try and persuade them.
Secondly, make sure to check the youth academies of various teams and youth ranks of certain countries. This can be an easy way to find great regens to scout, and potentially poach a top wonderkid from your rivals. If you’re a lower league team, this can also be important as there may be a couple of players willing to join you on loan, which can be a massive boost to your team.
Lastly, you want to scout in certain countries. As well as your own country, certain countries typically have more high quality regens than others. South American nations like Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay are great options, as well as Serbia, Japan, and major African nations like Nigeria. Big european leagues naturally have good regens, but will be much more expensive than those from outside Europe, so shop carefully.
