With the start of a new season comes an all-new battle pass. With the new Diablo 4 Season focused on hell, there’s never a better time to show off your love for fire and brimstone with the new Diablo 4 battle pass, showcasing some hellish mounts and bardings for the new season.
Diablo 4 Season 5 battle pass explained
If you’re already familiar with the Diablo 4 battle pass, not much is changing. Players can follow the journey and continue to collect points towards their battle pass progress. There are 90 tiers in this pass, with 28 of them free tiers, and the remaining 62 premium. The battle pass starts with the season 5 countdown concluding on August 6 at 10 AM PT, ending with the start of Season 6 likely around the launch of the next expansion.
If you’re a premium user, the season comes with some hell-themed cosmetics. The poster for the pass features a hellish horse, with its black scaley skin, a lava-cracked body, and fiery head on display. There’s also a barding, giving its decals a blazed look, with black and gold gilded armour. You’ll also get the Soul Brazier Mount Trophy.
If you’re more interested in character cosmetics, there’s more hell weaponry available. Players will find items like a polearm with a molten tip. You’ll also find a battle axe that looks like an underworld cathedral spire. You can see examples of the horse, barding, and weapon cosmetics via the official picture shared via Blizzard channels at the top of the page.
Of course, if you’re a free player, you will unlock these rewards without paying for the pass. However, you’ll still get the basic currencies, seasonal blessings, and other rewards for free. There are two new seasonal blessings this season, featuring the Spoils to get more legendary items from chests in Infernal Hordes. You can also find the boost to the Abyssal Scrolls, which is a currency used to upgrade Infernal compasses, used to get stronger tiers of Infernal Hordes for better rewards.
If you’re interested in the store options, you’ll find the Premium Battle Pass features there. You can also consume your free battle pass if you own the ultimate edition of the game. If you want store cosmetics, there will be a rotating store of more hell-themed armour sets and weapons.
