Diablo 4 Season 5 release date
The release date for Diablo 4 Season 5 is August 6th. This was confirmed on Blizzard’s official Twitter account for the series.
Arguably the most exciting and heavily marketed aspect is the Infernal Hordes. Per Blizzard marketing, “The greater the risk, the greater the reward. Bring the fight to Hell and face the powerful Fell Council in the new Infernal Hordes feature”.

When does Diablo 4 Season 5 start?
The release time for when Diablo 4 Season 5 will start is 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM BST on August 6th.
These launch hours are confirmed in Blizzard’s Slay Endless Demons news post. This news post provides a thorough explanation and guide to everything new coming out with the imminent fresh chapter.
In addition to Infernal Hordes and the required Infernal Compass, Season 5 is permanently introducing 50 Unique and Legendary items.

Battle Pass rewards
Per Blizzard, the Season 5 Battle Pass includes 90 Reward Tiers. There are 28 Rewards for the free tier, and then there are 62 Rewards for the Premium.
The Premium Battle Pass will cost $10 as per usual. Some of the rewards include Platium as well as the following:
- Awoken Archenemy Armor Sets
- Awoken Archenemy Barding Mount Armor
- Awoken Aetheric Steed Mount
- Soul Brazier Mount Trophy
You will also be able to buy an Accelerated Battle Pass to skip the 20 Tiers as well as get an Infernal Birthright Emote.
Lastly, if you just want to participate in the Free Tier, you will be able to earn Smoldering Ashes that can be spent on Season Blessings. Two new Blessings are becoming available in Season 5:
- Urn of Spoils:
- Boost the chance to receive a Legendary Item from Spoils of Hell chests, found while fighting Infernal Hordes.
- Urn of Abyssal Knowledge:
- Boost the chance to receive an Abyssal Scroll from Spoils of Hell chests, found while fighting the Infernal Hordes.
