Are you having trouble with the error in Diablo 4 that tells you authentication pending and need to fix it? This bug is keeping many players locked out of Diablo 4’s servers and leaves them unable to play the new Season of Blood.
Other errors have surfaced with the update that brought Season 2 to the game, such as error code 3100010. Nothing is more frustrating than server errors and long queue logins when you’re trying to play the new content. We’re here to help. Here are some tips to fix the “queued for login authentication pending” error.
Can you fix the authentication pending error in Diablo 4?
There are a few tips you can try to fix the authentication pending error in Diablo 4:
- Exit and restart the game
- Make sure your internet connection is strong
- Check if Diablo servers are down
This error occurs when you’re first logging into Diablo 4, and normally happens due to full servers. This error has been frequently popping up due to the release of the Season of Blood and the patch Blizzard released for it and is preventing players from jumping into all the new content.
Restart the game
The best method for fixing the login authentication pending error is to simply exit and restart your game. Sometimes server issues mean you just need to try again, and there’s nothing like the turn it off and turn it back on method. I got this error myself and was able to fix it after restarting two times, and waiting at least 10 seconds between closing the game and restarting. While this isn’t ideal, at least it got me back in.
Checking internet connection
The next step you can take is to check that your internet connection is good. If you don’t have a strong internet connection, it can make the authentication pending period take way longer than it should. Check your router and do an internet speed test to make sure you are able to connect successfully whether you’re on PC or consoles. Slow login attempts can be a killer when you’re in the queue, so make sure you’re not dealing with them.
Wait for the authentication to finish
If you’ve exhausted all other options, unfortunately, the last thing to do is to simply check to see if the servers are down, or just wait for the authentication to finish. You can check Diablo 4’s official Twitter where server issues are often posted on their social media channels.
At peak hours, especially with the new season being released, server overloads can be common. Ongoing issues are no fun for players to have to deal with, especially when they want to play all the new adventures to be found in Season 2. Sometimes, waiting is all that can be done.
That’s all you need to know about fixing the “queued for login authentication pending” error. Make sure to check out our guides for other Diablo errors, such as error code 7 or error code 401003 if you’re having trouble accessing the game.
