Can you play Deep Rock Galactic with friends?

Yes, Deep Rock Galactic is multiplayer. It’s recommended to play with friends for a more fun experience, as the game is a cooperative first-person shooter. You can team up with up to three other dwarf miners for co-op gameplay. You and your teammates can dive into any mission together.

Deep Rock Galactic is multiplayer for all platforms, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. You’ll each select one of the four playable classes, and work to complete the mission while fending off the terrors that lurk down below.

How to play Deep Rock Galactic multiplayer

To join or start a game in Deep Rock Galactic, go to the Terminal aboard the Space Rig. Under Mission Selection, you can select what mission you want to play in the browser. Once you’ve chosen your mission, you’ll see four options:

• Join
• Host: Public
• Host: Friends Only
• Solo

Select Join to head into another host’s server, or select either hosting option to start your own. The servers are very self-explanatory: a public server will allow anyone to join, and a friends only server will only let friends join you. There is a Quick Join option as well, to hop into any mission.

In the mission hub on the Spage Rig, you can also press the button indicated in the upper left corner that says Invite Friends. This will bring up your friends list, where you can invite players to join you. You can also invite people you’ve previously played with. This is also where you can go to join a friend’s game, by hitting Join Group after selecting the friend.

Taking on the underground caves and endless hordes of alien monsters is much easier with others, so we highly recommend joining a group.
