Trying to find the Death Stranding 2 The Pioneer location? Dug into the sand dunes that cover the northeastern corner of Australia, this prepper shelter next to a small oasis isn’t one you’ll visit as part of the main story. Instead, it requires some exploration and a detour through the sweltering heat to meet its chatty inhabitant and bring it onto the Chiral Network.
Much like BPAS, The Ghost Hunter, and Mr. Impossible, it can be a little tricky to find, but it’s well worth visiting for the connection rewards and also because it’s required to connect the entire continent to the network. Where to find The Pioneer location in Death Stranding 2
You’ll find The Pioneer prepper shelter in the desert region in the northeast of Australia, west of The Motherhood and northeast of The Data Scientist. It’s located not too far from the shore opposite the F3 crater.
Your best option to reach it is to fast travel into The Motherhood using the DHV Magellan. From there, travel west over the bush terrain and in the desert then travel up and over the sand dunes. You’ll spot a small pond with palm trees and the shelter. Check the gallery above for map images that pinpoint the location.
To connect The Pioneer to the Chiral Network, you’ll need to raise your connection level to 1 stars, which you can do by delivering Lost Cargo and completing Standard Orders destined for the shelter. Here are all the connection level rewards up for grabs at The Pioneer:
