Death Stranding 2 Auto-Pavers are required to build roads that make traversing Australia a lot easier. Unlike other structures that requires a PCC to build, Auto-Pavers have pre-defined locations across the map and act as resource deposit boxes that when the quota of Chiral Crystals, Ceramics, and Metals is met complete the construction of a portion of road. Over time, these portions of tarmac transform into a network of roads that span a reasonably large part of the continent.

While you’ll organically stumble across Auto-Pavers as you explore and complete Orders, some are quite well hidden away and can be tricky to track down as we found out while reviewing the game. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the location of all 47 Auto-Paver locations in Death Stranding 2.

All Auto-Paver locations in Death Stranding 2

The Australian road network in Death Stranding 2 is segmented into seven highways, listed in game as AUS-HIGHWAY-XX-XX, with XX-XX representing the highway number and the section. There are no roads you can build in Mexico.

Below, we’ll share the location of all the 47 Auto-Pavers needed to construct each of these highways in full, starting from the first road you’ll come across and then working our way around the rest of the continent. For each highway, we’ve included a gallery with zoomed-out and zoomed-in images tracking each roads’ full length to help you find the Auto-Pavers.

AUS-HIGHWAY-01

The AUS-HIGHWAY-01 runs from the West Fort Knot facility in the east of the continent to the F5 East Distribution just below the Snowy Mountains. The road consists of 11 Auto-Pavers most of which you can start filling up with resources as soon as you land in Australia. The portion closest to F5 East Distribution won’t become available until you get the surrounding region hooked up to the Chiral Network, which happens quite late into the game.

AUS-HIGHWAY-02

AUS-HIGHWAY-02 starts at West Fort Knot and runs east towards Rainbow Valley then north past the Animal Shelter into the large valley below, branching towards the Northern Environmental Observatory and finally the F2 South Distribution Centre. The highway is made up of 11 Auto-Pavers scattered at regular intervals.

AUS-HIGHWAY-03

AUS-HIGHWAY-03 cuts across the northern half of the continent. Starting from the F2 South Distribution Centre in the northwest it heads west past Heartman’s Lab, the Data Scientist, and the Savanna Mine all the way to the East Fort Knot (F4) in the west of the continent. To patch up the entire highway, there are 14 Auto-Pavers where you’ll need to donate resources.

AUS-HIGHWAY-04

AUS-HIGHWAY-04 cuts through the desert in the northeast of Australia as an off-shoot of the much larger AUS-HIGHWAY-03. It starts not far from The Data Scientist and runs north past The Pioneer and ends at the Northeastern Mine. This section consists of 5 Auto-Pavers.

AUS-HIGHWAY-05

AUS-HIGHWAY-05 runs down the southeast coast of the continent. It starts in East Fort Knot (F4) and follows the coast south to South Fort Knot (F6). This stretch of road is made up of 7 Auto-Pavers.

AUS-HIGHWAY-06

AUS-HIGHWAY-06 begins at South Fort Knot and runs west before branching off north to the Southern Environmental Observatory and then the F7 North Distribution Centre. AUS-HIGHWAY-06 is made up of 6 Auto-Pavers.

AUS-HIGHWAY-07

Last but not least, we have AUS-HIGHWAY-07, which is an off-shoot of AUS-HIGHWAY-06 in the southeast of the continent, running south west along the coast to Terminal Fort Knot (F8). It’s the smallest road on the map with only 3 Auto-Pavers.
