Wondering how to keep your pizza deliveries flat in Death Stranding 2? If you played the original, seeing Sam moonlighting as a pizza delivery guy in Death Stranding 2 shouldn’t come as a surprise. But with that comes the age-old conundrum of how to keep that greasy pie in a horizontal position and in good condition as you scramble up and topple down treacherous terrain.
It’s a little easier in the sequel because you have access to better gear by the time the first pizza order comes in during Order 025, which tasks you with delivering one to The Data Scientist. Still, it’s not all that straightforward and you can easily spoil the food if it’s transported vertically. Read on to find out how to three surefire, tired-and-tested methods to keep pizza flat in Death Stranding 2.
How get pizza flat in Death Stranding 2
To keep pizza flat, accept the order from the Deliver Terminal and on the Cargo Pick-Up screen choose to Offload the pizza. Continue through to the final preparations then exit the terminal menu. Load a large piece of cargo, such as a x200 load of materials like Metal or Ceramic into your backpack to create a flat surface. Head over to the pizza box on the floor then tap the triangle button to carry it on your back on top of the flat cargo you placed there previously.
The pizza will now be flat and you can run along to the delivery location safe in the knowledge it won’t get spoiled. Just watch out for falls and try to avoid any knocks and bumps along the way to your destination.

Alternatively, and arguably much safer, you can choose to place the pizza in the cargo hold of a Pickup Off-Roader where it will stay flat and safe. There’s also the option to use a Floating Carrier to keep it flat. Any of the three methods work to meet the Keep Flat delivery criteria so take your pick.
