As you explore further and further into Australia on your mission to reconnect the region to the Chiral Network, you’ll come across 36 facilities, shelters, and settlements in need of Sam’s help. Your relationship with each one is determined by a connection level measured out of 5 stars. As you fill up the gauge, you’ll earn unique rewards and upgrades to make your journey easier, whether that’s fighting BTs and Brigands or access to new structures to traverse terrain quicker.

A connection level is raised with a facility by completing Main Orders, Sub Orders, Standard Orders, and Aid Requests. The connection level tends to reach 3 stars quickly but dramatically slows down thereafter for most facilities, so there’s a bit of slog involved to hit 5 stars at all 36 facilities in Australia.
