Throughout your journey through Bloodborne, you’ll pick up various Hunter Badges when you kill bosses and other high level enemies. They can also be looted from bodies found throughout the game.

These badges unlock weapons which can be purchased from the Bath Messengers: with each new badge there’ll be new weapons available to buy. Below is a list of some of the badges we have found throughout our time in the game. We’ll update this guide as we find them all.

Saw Hunter Badge

In the Central Yharnam sewers, en route to the second boss, Father Gascoigne, there’s a ladder next to a tunnel which contains a giant pig. After killing the pig, head through the tunnel and turn right and you’ll find the Saw Hunter Badge on a dead body.

The badge unlocks many of the weapons you could have chosen at the start of the game, including Saw Cleaver, Threaded Cane, Hunter Axe, Saw Spear, Hunter Blunderbuss and Hunter Pistol.

Sword Hunter Badge

The Sword Hunter Badge is earned by defeating the Cleric Beast in Central Yharnam on the Great Bridge. It unlocks the Saw Cleaver, Kirkhammer, Hunter Chief Emblem, Repeating Pistol and Hand Lantern for purchase.

Powder Keg Hunter Badge

The Powder Keg Hunter Badge is unlocked by beating Hunter Djura, who is found wielding the chaingun atop of Old Yharnam. Once he’s dead, you’ll be able to purchase the Stake Drive for 8000 Blood Echoes.

Spark Hunter Badge

The Spark Hunter Badge is unlocked by beating the Darkbeast Paarl boss. Unlocking this badge will allow you to buy the trick weapon Tonitrus from the Bath Messengers, which is imbued with electricity. You can also now purchase Bolt Paper.

Radiant Sword Hunter Badge

After defeating the Blood Starved Beast, head back to Hunter’s Dream and speak to Gehrman. After that, the right-hand door in Cathedral Ward will be open, which will lead you up a huge tower, the top of which contains a chest where inside is the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge.

The badge unlocks Ludwig’s Holy Blade and Ludwig’s Holy Rifle at the Bath Messengers.

Old Hunter Badge

*SPOILERS* The Old Hunter badge is earned by defeating Gehrman, The First Hunter, at the very end of the game. If you choose not to surrender to him, you must defeat Gehrman at the game’s climax and will earn his badge as a reward, which will unlock the ability to purchase his weapon, the Burial Blade, for 20,000 Blood Echoes.
