Among the bounties on offer in Fior mes Iverno in Emerald Stair is the Old Nuna bounty. Unlike most of the other ones, there’s no map marker to lead you to the foe. All you have to go on is a brief description that tells you that you’re tracking a powerful bear that has taken up residence within the Grotto.
With its swamps, farms, hills, and towering trees, Emerald Stair is deceptively large, which can make tracking down the old bear a right task. In this guide, we’ll wall you through where to find the Old Nuna bounty in Avowed.
How to complete the Old Nuna bounty in Avowed
To find the Old Numa bounty, you’ll need to travel to the southwest of the map to the Naku Tedek Grounds. Once there, make your way down to the river to the north (though to the southwest of the bridge, not the northeast) and you’ll find several ledges and tree roots leading down. When you reach the river, head over to the other shore, and follow the river south to find the Ancient Grotto entrance.
Enter and press on until you come to a crossroads. Take the left path then instruct Kai to use his Firestarter ability to clear the roots. Go through and then up the stairs on the right, avoiding the toxic water as you go. Follow the corridor up the stairs then take a left to find Old Nuna, a massive bear.

Defeat Old Nuna and then the Sporelings that spawn in once she’s dead. Make sure to pick Old Nuna’s Paw before leaving as you’ll need it to claim the bounty back in Fior mes Iverno and receive 750 skeyt from Bounty Master Martella. Before you leave, it’s worth investigating the level above the arena to find several chests full of useful loot.
