Abilities: Flash Fire and Guts

A classic Pokémon and one of the popular forms of Eveelution, Flareon is a fan favorite and one of the cutest Pokémon in Paldea. Flareon can become a strong force on your team by boasting great Attack and Special Defense stats. While it works great in the campaign and is a cool Pokémon, Flareon doesn’t work as well in competition due to its slow speed stat. Still, if it manages to deal a hit with Flare Blitz, a STAB move, Flareon is a great Pokémon to have on your team.

9.     Coalossal

Sp. Atk.80
Sp. Def.90
Speed30

Abilities: Flame Body, Flash Fire, and Steam Engine

A solid defensive beast that looks cool and manages to tank a lot of heavy hits, Coalossal can work very well as a Hazard Setter. It can set up Stealth Rock, and its strong abilities allow it to deal with a hit-and-run Pokémon. It has a unique structure and can become very fearsome when angered. Its low-speed stat and Rock–Fire typing leave it vulnerable to speedy attacks. Still, if it manages to tank them, it can counter with a heavy hit or a Steam Engine that raises its speed. Coalossal is a great Pokémon to have in your team in the campaign as a defensive tank or a support setter. Still, it doesn’t work as well in competition because of other Pokemon that perform better, which are on this list.

8.     Ceruledge

Abilities:  Flash Fire and Weak Armor

A Pokémon exclusive to the Violet version, Ceruledge is an instant fan favorite that hits hard and looks fabulous doing it. A great physical attacker with a unique move, “Bitter Blade,” allows it to recover 50% of the damage dealt; Ceruledge is a force on the battlefield. It works well with both of its abilities and can massively damage reasonably quickly. It’s typing also helps it against physical moves while having good special defense. Ceruledge is a great Pokémon to have on your team, primarily if you teach it Swords Dance.

7.     Armarouge

Speed75

Abilities: Flash Fire and Weak Armor

Another fan-favorite and Ceruledge’s counterpart, Armarouge, is a great Pokémon with great Special Attack and good Defensive stats. Armarouge works excellent as a Trick Room setter and can significantly land strong Special Attack hits if you raise it with a modest nature. It might suffer due to its low-speed stat. Still, Armarouge can manage pretty well, especially if it Teraforms into Grass-type. Armarouge is an excellent addition to the roster and a fun Pokémon to try out various battle combinations and strategies.

6.     Skeleridge

Fire-type starters have always been popular in Pokémon games, and this time is no exception; Skeleridge is one of the best starters made in terms of design and packs a heavy punch. It has well-rounded stats, and Ghost typing helps it against other Pokémon types. Its unique move, “Torch Song,” allows it to attack while raising its Special attack. Sekeleridge is a stylish Pokémon to add to your team. It can Terastallize into many types, including Fairy, which shifts the battle dynamics. Skeleridge is versatile and robust, giving it many reasons to be the Fire-type for your team.

5.     Volcarona

Stats
HP85

Sp. Atk.135
Sp. Def.105
Speed100

Abilities: Flame Body and Swarm

One of the strongest Fire-type Pokémon in Paldea, Volcarona rises to the top with great Speed, Special Attack, and Special defense. Its Fire-Bug typing allows it to have fewer weaknesses, and the ability keeps physical attackers wary. If you teach it Quiver Dance, Volcarona can become a strong sweeper, and Giga Drain keeps Pokémon with its weakness in check. IT can also Terrastalize into Water type, which removes most of its weaknesses. Volcarona is an amazing Pokémon that STAB’s its opponent and an excellent Pokémon for your team. It just lacks a bit of style.

4.     Arcanine

A Pokémon that has stood the test of time, Arcanine is a Generation 1 Fire-type Pokémon adored by fans. Not only does it have great stats, but it’s also a speedy attacker that becomes a menace for its opponents. Arcanine works well with any team and can land effective damage against its opponents either with a quick STAB move or a Will – O – Wisp. It can also Terrastalize into Water-type, which allows it to turn the tables on its opponents, and that’s ignoring the fact that it can use roar. Intimidate works notably in competitive play and makes Arcanine one of the best Pokémon to add to your team.

A Pokémon, even though I don’t need to say much about it, loved by everyone and favored by many Charizard is exceptional in the Paldea region. Not only does this Pokémon deal excellent fire damage with great stats, but it also looks cool doing it. It can work as a Fire-type sweeper; if it Terasstalizes into Fire type, its attacks are to watch out for. One of the legendaries introduced in the Paldea region, Chi Yu, is Pokémon, formed through conflicts and found swimming through Lava. Even though it has a weak health stat, it also reduces its opponent’s Special defense stats by 0.25% with its ability “Beads of Ruin.” A Special attacker through and through, this Dark-Fire type Pokémon can efficiently deal with its foes and even take out tanks. It’s a Pokémon that must be taken out quickly if encountered in a battle.

1. Iron Moth

A paradox Pokémon that has been banned in competition and, for a good reason, Iron Moth, has stats so strong that it can plow through anything. This Fire-Poison-type Pokémon has eight resistances and only one weakness; it can even set traps and poison its opponents. This is the strongest Fire-type Pokémon in the game, and even though you might be able to obtain it by the end of the game, it is worth it.
