Lords of the Fallen – How to help the petrified woman

Petrified woman location in Lords of the Fallen

The petrified woman, also known as Kukajin, can be found in the Forsaken Fen swamp. This is the area after the Congregator of Flesh boss and leads to the Hushed Saint boss. The closest Vestige to her is the Vestige of Valade. Once there, follow the pathway until you reach a large fire.

To the left of the large bonfire, you will find a small cave with torches near the entrance. This shallow cave is what holds the petrified woman. You will also see an item resting behind her. This item is Wilmarc’s Catalyst and it is your reward for saving or killing the woman. To reach her, you will first need to roll through some vines.

The petrified woman will tell you that her skin turned to stone after she envigorated her skin with a sorcerer’s magic. She was a traveling mercenary hired by a sorcerer who ran off when creatures appeared.

Note: There is a shortcut leading to the large hub-like area in the swamp that you can access by climbing the tree before the large fire. You can then kick down a ladder. We suggest unlocking this shortcut first as it makes helping the NPC much easier.

How to save the petrified woman in Lords of the Fallen

Now that you have located the petrified woman, you must work on saving her. To save her, use the Sanctify spell or Cleansing Spring spell on her. Both spells require a Radiance Catalyst. If you don’t have one of them, they can be purchased from Exacter Dunmire in Skyrest Bridge after defeating the Congregator of Flesh boss.

Using one of these spells on her will set her free. Once freed, the NPC will tell you that her name is Kukajin. She will also reward you with the Pendant of Induration.

Now that she is free, Kukajin will go to Skyrest Bridge and wait for you. She will also fight alongside you in some boss fights in exchange for payment. Kukajin also has an entire quest that you can follow.
