MultiVersus is a new game that came out in June 2022. It allows you to partner up with your friends to battle other teams in intense 2v2 matches. And, one of the best parts of the game is the number of characters available to play. You’ll be able to characters from various universes, from Scooby Doo to Game of Thrones, which makes for some exciting battles! However, because there are so many characters, it can be hard to figure out which one best suits your playstyle. If you’re in this situation, then keep reading. In this article, we’ll lay down everything you need to know about every character in the game, from their class to their weight. So, let’s get started!

Confirmed Characters in MultiVersus

Shaggy

Shaggy is one of the detectives in the Scooby-Doo franchise. In Multiversus, he’s a bruiser, meaning he’s best suited to getting close to his opponents and hitting them with melee strikes. If you like going in all-guns-blazing, Shaggy is a great character to choose.

One of Shaggy’s best abilities is to hit opponents with power punches that literally knock them out of the arena!

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is a key member of the Justice League-  a team of superheroes from the DC universe. As a tank, she’s excellent at absorbing punishment and being a defensive unit. Her ability to absorb damage makes her a great team player.

Wonder Woman has a variety of abilities, such as a defensive shield move, as well as a rope ability that draws opponents in close.

Batman

Bruce Wayne is a playboy billionaire by day and a crime-fighting superhero by night. In multiverses, he’s a bruiser, which means he loves to get up close and personal with his opponents. He also relies on a number of abilities to weaken his opponents, giving him the upper hand.

One of Batman’s most notable abilities is his Batarang throw, which can be used to damage opponents at range.

Superman

One of the most powerful superheroes ever created,  Superman is virtually indestructible. In fact, his only weakness is kryptonite. in the multiverses he acts as a tank, meaning he’s able to absorb a great amount of damage.

One of Superman’s coolest abilities is his Air Side Special, which allows you to fly and grab an enemy to throw forward.

Taz

Taz might not have the pedigree of Superman or Arya Stark, but he’s actually a very powerful character. As a bruiser, he’s best suited for close-range encounters.

Taz has one of the funniest abilities in the game. He’s able to slap opponents with two slices of bread, and turn them into a sandwich! It’s one of the most satisfying ways to defeat an opponent.

Iron Giant

Iron Giant is the heaviest character in the game so far. Because of his size, he’s regarded as one of the most difficult characters to play in MultiVersus. But, if you’re able to figure his playstyle out, you’ll find him to be one of the most enjoyable characters in the game.

Iron Giant’s most impactful ability is his ‘Rage Mode’. This allows him to absorb even more damage and deal devastating strikes to his opponents via projectiles.

Garnet

Garnet is another great bruiser character in MultVersus. Although, unlike other bruisers, she focuses on speed in her strikes, rather than power.

Garnet has some of the fastest punches in the game. With the right perks, you’ll be able to hit your opponent several times before they can even move out of the way, making her very difficult to evade.

Steven Universe

Steven Universe is the main character in his universe. He’s part human and part gem, and a great support character in MultiVersus. If you like to look out for your teammates, he’s one of the best characters to play.

Steven Universe’s abilities focus on healing and melee attacks. You’ll even be able to spawn a ‘mini Steven’ to fight alongside you and your teammates!

Jake

Jake the Dog is one of the main characters in adventure time, being the pet of Fin. In MultiVersus, he’s a powerful bruiser, who’s only effective at short range due to his short reach. Perfect if you’re a brawler.

Jake has some unique abilities, such as being able to shapeshift. For instance, he can turn his hands into an axe to deliver devastating damage to his enemies.

Fin

Fin the human is the other main character in Adventure Time. In MultiVersus, he’s an assassin capable of delivering devastating amounts of damage in a short space of time. He’s also incredibly quick, but more susceptible to damage. So, if you like a high-risk-to-reward ratio when playing, Fin is a great character to choose.

Fin’s abilities center around quick sword strikes which do high amounts of damage. He can also use his fists to knock enemies back.

Reindog

Don’t let Reindog’s cute looks fool you. He might be a support character, but he’s capable of destroying opponents who overlook his strength. He’s a great character to play if you’re looking for a mix of support and offense.

Reindog’s support abilities include tethering your allies to safety and enhancing their projectiles. His damage abilities include a fireball, which is slow to charge but deals an impressive amount of damage.

Velma

Another Scooby Doo character to make it into MultiVersus is Velma. She’s a great support character who uses knowledge and math to damage her enemies. She’s great at range, but does tend to struggle when the fight gets up close and personal.

Velma is able to call a police car into the battlefield. This is one of her strongest abilities, and can literally take your opponents out of the game! If you can use her powers effectively, she’s one of the hardest support characters to deal with.

Arya Stark

One of the most skilled fighters in the Game of Thrones franchise, Arya Stark is arguably the most powerful assassin in MultiVersus. She sacrifices durability for speed and damage, allowing her to dispose of her enemies in quick fashion, as long as she doesn’t get hit.

All of Arya’s abilities centre around her sword. She can slash for massive amounts of damage, and even knock her opponents out of the arena. So long as your opponents can’t catch you, Arya is one of the most devastating characters in the game.

  • Weight: 41

Bugs Bunny

The first mage on this list is Bugs Bunny, a central character in Looney Tunes. This isn’t his first video game appearance either. In MultiVersus, Bugs Bunny relies on spawning objects into the arena to deal with his opponents.

For instance, Bugs Bunny can spawn in pies, which slow down your opponents. He can also spawn in a rocket to deal devastating damage to enemies.

Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is the only villain from the DC universe in MultiVerses as of yet. As an assassin, she’s pretty fragile, but can deal lots of damage in a very short space of time. She’s quite a hard character to play, but certainly worth the effort.

Harley Quinn largely relies on her speed to deliver fast combinations before her opponents even have time to move. She also has the ability to attach traps to her opponents, which can come in very useful if you’re low on health.

Tom & Jerry

Tom & Jerry come as a package in MultiVerses. They’re a mage class, relying on spawning objects into the arena to deal with their opponents. They also have the unique ability to split up, making for some very interesting gameplay.

For instance, Tom can fire Jerry on a rocket to deal a lot of damage and close the distance. Tom can also use a racket to fire rockets at enemies. Tom & Jerry are probably the hardest characters to play in the game. But, if you use them effectively, it can become impossible for your opponents to escape your damage output.

LeBron James

One of the best basketball players of all time, and a main character in Space Jam: A New Legacy, LeBron James has an epic legacy. He’s now become a strong character in MultiVersus, being a ‘bruiser’. Although, his skillset does make him feel more like a support role at times.

LeBron James’ abilities focus around his basketball. He can throw the ball at enemies to deal damage and even charge at enemies. Or, with the basketball in hand, he’s capable of landing devastating melee strikes.

Morty

The adolscent half of the infamous duo in Rick and Morty, Morty certainly has a lot of experience battling tough opponents. In MulitVersus, he’s a bruiser, making him perfect for close melee encounters.

Morty’s strongest abilities focus on his grenade throws. They can be hard to get to grips with, but once you learn how to use these grenades, they can wipe your opponent out in an instant. He’s not the best character for beginners, so you probably shouldn’t use him unless you have some decent experience in the game.

Gizmo

The final character on this list is Gizmo- a gremlin who acts as a support character in MultiVersus. Used correctly, he’s one of the most versatile support characters in the game and can give your allies some awesome buffs and stop your opponents in their tracks.

For instance, one of Gizmo’s strongest is ‘Silenced’, which temporarily freezes your opponent. This can give you a split second to land lethal damage.

Leaked Characters in MultiVerses

These characters aren’t yet in the game but will be added shortly:

  • Black Adam from DC Comics. We should see this character sometime during season 1.
  • Stipe from the Gremlins universe. Again, this character will be released in season 1.
  • Rick from Rick and Morty. We’ll likely see this character released towards the end of season 1.
  • The Joker from DC. It’s not known when the Joker will be released, but he’s quickly become one of the most anticipated characters in MultiVerses.
  • Raven from DC. This character should be confirmed within the coming weeks.
  • Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes. This character has all but been confirmed, so expect his release fairly soon.
  • Scooby Doo from the Scooby Doo universe. It’ll be great to put Scooby and Shaggy together on the same team!
  • Daenerys from Game of Thrones. As one of the most powerful characters in her franchise, expect Daenerys to be a game-changing character.
  • The Hound from Game of Thrones. The Hound will likely be a bruiser or a tank, with devastating melee strikes.
  • The Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz. Expect this character to be a mage with strong spells.
  • Godzilla. Godzilla will likely be a tank with stats similar to the Iron Giant.

The following characters have been speculated to enter MultiVersus in the coming months and years:
