Stalker 2 devs reveal a roadmap is coming “soon” as the team promise to be “more transparent going forward” 

It’s no secret that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl did not release in the best state. Despite being a fantastic game, the broken A-Life mechanic and overall buggy state left a lot to be desired. 

While developer GSC Game World has released thousands of fixes and massively improved its AI systems, a lot of work is still underway. Talking to VideoGamer, a spokesperson on the team explained a roadmap is coming “soon” as the developer  aims to be more transparent with fans. 

Stalker 2 roadmap is on the way 

Speaking to VideoGamer, GSC Game World explained that the team is eternally grateful to fans who have played and enjoyed the survival game despite its technical shortcomings. 

“What we’re most proud of is that we’ve created a true S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and players have recognized that, even with some technical rough spots,” the developer explained. “We’ve stayed true to the fans and welcomed new ones too — we have more than 6 mln players now.”

The team explained it’s “committed to keeping the game updated — both with technical improvements and new content”. Alongside bug fixes and the true introduction of A-Life 2.0, there are plans to reintroduce cut content and also work on the game’s planned expansions that will “make the experience even better for everyone”.

“We’re also planning to share a roadmap soon, so everything’s more transparent moving forward,” the team explained.

“We would like to take a moment to thank all the stalkers who joined us in the Zone with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s launch,” the team continued. “Everyone who’s played, talked about it, shared their thoughts, supported others, or seen it through to the end — many even exploring all the endings — thank you so much.”

Stalker 2 is currently being helped a lot by its modding community, a talented and dedicated group that’s not only fixed major issues but also made some awesome gameplay changes. For example, the brilliant Desolation mod brings an even more crushing difficulty to the Zone for the game’s most hardcore players.
