PlayStation VR finally launches next week and first impressions suggest it’s a seriously impressive piece of kit. I’ve been using it extensively since Friday, getting to grips with the final hardware and trying out the launch line-up, and while there are some games we’re not allowed to talk about yet (come back for those next week), overall it seems like an excellent piece of hardware that literally adds a whole new dimension to console gaming.

In the video below, I chat to Alice about my experience with PlayStation VR so far, discussing its comfort, screen quality and overall impressions.

And we’ve dived deeper into one of the most impressive PSVR games I’ve tried so far, Batman: Arkham VR.

Later today, Patreon members will also be able to watch myself and Tom heading into Until Dawn: Rush of Blood’s terrifying haunted house. (Spoiler: I never want to play it again. Wait. That’s a lie. I do because it’s surprisingly good, but also horrifyingly scary.)

I’ve written up my thoughts on PlayStation VR Worlds, too, and how the collection’s best game probably isn’t the one you’ve been expecting. And honestly, if you’re planning on purchasing a PlayStation VR next week, maybe don’t select Scavengers Odyssey as your first VR experience…

Besides all that, I’ve also been chatting to new VideoGamer friend Colm about my time with PlayStation VR Worlds, which we’ll have up later in the week, along with some initial impressions of Battlezone, Headmaster and a spooky little playthrough of Resident Evil 7’s TGS demo.
