On Mondays I am forced to go back over the previous week and get retroactive embarrassment at the silly things I did for the VideoGamer Patreon, so I can share it with everyone else. Last week was a bumper one in terms of Patreon Livestreams, but that doesn’t mean the other perks were let downs. Take a look.

Livestreams

Colm and I (that is, Alice, I am Alice) continued the Monday livestream with part three of the Outlast livestream, and although it did properly give us the heebie jeebies (and revealed that Colm’s sense of direction is incredibly poor and if trapped in an abandoned asylum he wouldn’t last long) we decided it would be the final Outlast stream. The Monday streams, for $15 patrons or above, continue this week with a different game, which will be terribly exciting, I’m sure.

Thursday’s VG Versus, also for $15 patrons, was going to be a no holds barred Guitar Hero throwdown between Colm and everyone else, but ended up being Colm and I talking about our musical interests whilst he gently encouraged me to be less bad at the game. It’s a very chilled out stream, and worth watching if you want to find out why Colm’s band was called Blue Tonic.

Finally, on Friday 28 October, we had a live Q&A stream with myself and Colm (who did the heavy lifting with the livestreams last week, let’s be honest) joined on the sofa by Dave. We answered questions from the Patreon and from the live chat. We learnt that Dave wanted to be a pilot and was terrified by the Moomins, and Colm flashed his leg to show off his abstract Sonic tattoo.

Podcasts

Because we had the Q&A livestream there was no Friday extra podcast this week, but for $5 plus patrons there was the early, extra long podcast on Tuesday. In the bumper Patreon minutes we talked about Black Mirror, but kept it spoiler light (which meant we had to be very creative in how we talked about it).

Patreon Videos

Anyone backing us for $10 or more gets at least one extra video a week. This time Sam and Colm attempted to play Batman: Return to Arkham by sharing one controller between the two of them. They actually did very well and I’m proud of them. Good work.

This extra stuff on Patreon is because we’re pathetically grateful to anyone pledging to support us and our ridiculousness. If you want to get in on the act then please do!
