The all-time best Fallout 4 mod, Fallout London, is now available in full virtual reality. Months after the brilliant fan-made game jumped onto the internet, a new community mod has released that brings Fallout London VR to PCVR gamers.

Of course, the mod is not available as a standalone Quest VR title, simply because Fallout 4 itself is not available on Quest headsets. However, Quest users with a gaming PC can use their headsets to play the game on Windows.

Fallout London VR released

Available right here on Nexus Mods, the new Fallout London VR mod is currently in beta. While the full game is playable in virtual reality, only 10% of content has actually been tested. However, “all known game-breaking bugs have been fixed”.

In order to play the VR mod of the awesome Fallout 4 mod, players will have to have install the following prerequisites before installing the new project:

  • Fallout 4 + DLC (1.10.163 version or older)
  • Fallout 4 VR
  • Fallout: London
  • Mod Organiser 2 (MO2)
  • Fallout 4 Script Extender VR 0.6.21 (F4SEVR)
That’s right. VR brolly weapon. It’s beautiful.

Just like the original Fallout London release, there are still some issues with the VR port, largely due to how intensive the fan mod is on the ageing game engine. For example, leaving London Bridge Station in the VR port also results in a crash, but players are asked to install the VR FPS stabalizer mod to help with this.

The team behind the virtual reality port also has their own Discord server give players direct support and keep track of the latest buglist, bug reports and troubleshooting.

All in all, this is an incredible option for fans of Bethesda’s RPG series. While the base VR version of Fallout 4 was pretty decent on launch, fans have exponentially improved the game with better motion controls, better gunplay and much, much more.

Fallout London is also an incredible mod in its own right, and genuinely a fantastic experience. If you’ve ever played a VR game before, you should be frothing at the opportunity to play this, especially considering its free… well, if you own F04 VR that is.
