Throughout this week, in the run up to Marvel’s Spider-Man, which releases this Friday, we will be bringing you a series of poems, all in different forms. Each has been plucked from a different author, and spun into a one-week anthology called Arachnidelights (Poems of a Spider-Man). Check out Monday's.

Our second author, Stephanie P. Ider, is living in Japan and – fittingly – studying poetry. Stephanie is keen to show her appreciation for the upcoming game with three haikus, under the name ‘Silver Webs,’ that she says 'describe her love not only for the web-slinging hero but for our furry octopedal friends.' Erm, yeah, thanks Stephanie.

my sense is tingling
we have waited so long now
give me web head now

i love big puddles
it’s a shame they've gone away
oh wait, no it’s not

*

swinging on his ropes
looking so cool in the air
the spider bastard
