Turtle Rock Studios has confirmed that co-op monster slayer Evolve's dedicated servers will be shutting their doors in September.

Things will start to cool off for Evolve on July 2, at which point you won't be able to fork out for virtual currency bundles for Stage 2.

September 3 meanwhile will see the dedicated servers packing their bags, after which Evolve Stage 2 will no longer be available. In addition, the in-game store will also be waving goodbye.

This doesn't mean you won't be able to play Evolve, though. Legacy Evolve will still be available to tuck into even after the dedicated servers shut down.

Turtle Rock was also keen to point out that you'll keep all your Monsters, Hunters, and skins after the servers close.

However, a bunch of features won't be available following the servers coming down. These include Hunt (Ranked), player profile data, newsfeed, player badges, and more. Read the full post here for more details.

Evolve was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in 2014, though sadly didn't really live up to expectations.
