Developer Freebird’s follow-up game to 2011’s beautiful To the Moon, Finding Paradise, is out December 14. So, where does To the Moon 2 – or 2 the Moon – come in? Well, it doesn’t, really.

To The Moon saw two scientists trying to fulfill the wish of a dying man via artificial memories in an emotional tale that had most shedding a few tears by its conclusion. Freebird Games released what they described as a minisode three years later called A Bird Story with the aim being to bridge the gap between To the Moon and the upcoming Finding Paradise.

2 the Moon is just a joke from creator of the original, Ken Gao, who released a mock trailer for the fake game earlier this week. It’s worth a watch, so I won’t spoil the ins and outs of it for you. Just know that it’s the antithesis of To the Moon.

Finding Paradise is the legitimate sequel and is scheduled to launch on December 14 on PC. I can only imagine I’ll start crying on my face while I play this one, too.
