Few details have been released, but we do know that it will be released on PC and a next-gen console, and will feature a single player campaign and multiplayer gaming for up to 64 players. According to Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka, the game only went into production in “early in 2005” and before the development switches focus to the Chrome sequel the studios current project, Call of Juarez, must reach its beta phase.

For some time now we are experimenting with interesting concepts taken from books, comics and sci-fi movies that at this point were never ported into video games or were ported without success. Basing on the few first elements we prototyped for the next part of Chrome we think it will revolutionise sci-fi games, allowing players to experience brand new content and original gameplay,” said Marchewka.

Given that Chrome wasn’t exactly a showpiece in the FPS genre, believing that the sequel with revolutionise sci-fi games is too much of a leap to take at this time.
