According to senior analyst Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics, Arc Raiders has now sold 15 million copies, following 1.5 million sales on Steam and 1.7 million sales across PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in January 2026. This has resulted in an estimated $500 million in revenue, blowing well past the game’s reported $75 million budget for development and marketing, according to industry analyst Michael Pachter on the SIFTD YouTube channel.
We previously reported that Arc Raiders exceeded 12 million sales earlier in January. At that time, the PvPvE extraction shooter from Embark had reached 7 million sales on Steam, meaning its total sales on Valve’s PC storefront should now be roughly 8.5 million.
Arc Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, meaning it has reached 15 million sales in just three months, according to Elliott’s report on February 3. For comparison, the game is currently around 5 million copies behind the reported 20 million lifetime sales of Helldivers 2, which launched in February 2024.
While most live service multiplayer games released in 2025 lost more than 90% of their player counts, with Highguard continuing the trend in 2026, Arc Raiders stands out as one of the most successful live service titles in recent years. Elliott attributes part of the game’s success to its accessible $40 price point, but even then, “its engagement metrics remain staggering”.
Beyond sales, Elliott also notes that the game’s monthly active users in January across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC were 8% higher than in December, with its daily active user records still “breaking weekend after weekend”. In January, Embark released the Headwinds update 1.13.0, which introduced a new solo-versus-squads matchmaking option, only accessible if you are above level 40.
While the Headwinds update marked a strong start to the year, Embark has already outlined its 2026 roadmap through the end of April. To maintain momentum, the studio plans to release new map modifiers each month ahead of a new map arriving in April. Although plans beyond April have not been announced, Embark has promised additional maps throughout the year, with some teased as “grander than what we’ve got now”.
