Marvel Rivals Winter Event — Release date, new game mode, rewards, and more

The winter event in Marvel Rivals is scheduled to be released later this week. NetEase has released some details about the event in the Season 5.5 roadmap, hyping up the community before its release. Now, we have a lot of information about it, including the list of cosmetics that will be released and a new game mode.

The next Marvel Rivals event will begin on Friday, December 19. The game will receive an update a day before the event goes live, and you will have to download it in order to access all the new content.

When does the winter event start in Marvel Rivals?

As NetEase previously revealed, the event will start on Friday, December 19. The exact time of the event hasn’t been confirmed, but we expect it to go live at 9 AM UTC. The highlight of the event is Jeffland, a new map that will be used for a returning game mode called Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival.

If you played Marvel Rivals in its first month, you may remember Jeff’s exclusive game mode during its first winter celebration. This time, the game mode will receive a massive update, as it will feature three different builds of the fan-favorite shark.

Besides the fun arcade mode, NetEase will release a couple of winter-themed skins. Daredevil, Star-Lord, Squirrel Girl, Winter Soldier, and Peni Parker will all get new costumes in the first week of the event. Later on, the game developer will release new winter skins for Thor and Cloak & Dagger.

Finally, the upcoming winter event in Marvel Rivals will have a new event on the Times Square map at Pym Technologies Test Kitchen. You can eat a mystery burger at this location, which will have a surprising effect on your character. The event will also feature a winter gift, although it’s currently unknown what exactly this will be.

Before the event goes live, don’t forget to unlock all the free Units. Your limited-time Units will expire on December 18, so make sure to spend them on cosmetic items in the shop.
