Epic Games has finally revealed when the Winterfest event will come to Fortnite. This annual winter-themed event is an exciting period for the community, as it brings free gifts and gameplay changes. With the event launching on Thursday, December 18, we are just a few days away from all the new content Epic has prepared for us.
The Fortnite developer has not only revealed the date of the event, but has also teased us with new features and collaborations. Thanks to a short teaser that Epic posted, we now know that the Harry Potter collaboration will come to Fortnite very soon, as well as a few more details.
Will the Winterfest cabin return to Fortnite?
The video teaser Epic Games posted reveals two exciting things coming to Fortnite: Harry Potter and the Winterfest cabin. As previously revealed, the Harry Potter collaboration will bring a couple of customizable skins. While their release date is currently unknown, we expect them to come out by Christmas.
The Winterfest cabin is also making a comeback. This fan-favorite feature will allow you to unwrap gifts and obtain free skins and rewards, including a couple of skins. It appears that this year’s free Winterfest skins will be a hamster and a winter-themed crash dummy.
Epic has already revealed a new Winterfest skin, and more of them will come out over the next two weeks. In the meantime, you can also compete in daily cups to unlock two more skins for free: Snowy Ops and Rosette Tigeress.
Fortnite Chapter 7 is off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see all the new things Epic has prepared. While free skins are always welcome, it will be exciting to see the new island covered by the snow for the new event. Also, we expect Fortnite to bring back fan-favorite winter-themed items, such as the Snowball Launcher and Presents.
