Per MP1st, three new trademarks for the Divinity franchise from Baldur’s Gate 3 developer, Larian, have been registered in Europe. One of these symbols and icons perfectly aligns with the demon statue shared by The Game Awards’ host and founder, Geoff Keighley. Not only that, but NateTheHate, a tier 1 “very reliable” insider on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, who accurately leaked The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remaster earlier this year, now claims the statue is from Larian, too.
The newly discovered trademark includes three images. One of them flat-out spells Divinity, and, per MP1st, it “features the aesthetic of previous logo titles but also a refreshed, modernized font, strongly hinting that this represents a brand-new project rather than a simple re-release”. There’s also a symbol that perfectly aligns with the demon statue, as you can see below:

Geoff Keighley first shared the demon statue on November 29. It was originally placed in the middle of a desert, and it features an ensemble of carvings, including a crocodile, a bear, fantasy armor, skulls, and ghouls. What it’s teasing will officially be revealed during The Game Awards ceremony, which you can watch live on December 11 via YouTube, Twitch, and, for the first time, Amazon Prime.
Larian publishing director says The Game Awards demon statue is not Divinity Original Sin 3
Interestingly, Michael Douse, the director of publishing at Larian Studios, known as cromwelp on X, says, “There aren’t currently any plans for a new Divinity Original Sin 3 game, but once we are ready to show what we’ve been working on, we will”.
Assuming the statue is Divinity, as the trademarks suggest, it’s possible the game could be a Divinity reboot or simply not a sequel to Divinity Original Sin 2. Divinity is Larian’s cult classic RPG before the developer achieved massive success with Baldur’s Gate 3, winning several Game Awards, including Game of the Year in 2023. The Divinity series began in 2002 with Divine Divinity, and the most recent installment is the Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition, released in 2017.
Speaking of Divinity Original Sin 2, reliable PlayStation dataminer, PlayStationSize, has uncovered a “native PS5” version of the Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition. Cromwelp has responded to this leak, saying, “Hey, we weren’t meant to announce that yet”. It’s possible this could be announced at The Game Awards, too, but we have to wait and see.
While Larian’s next project isn’t officially revealed, the studio’s CEO, Swen Vincke, says it is “crazy ambitious,” and they are working on “two games” simultaneously. Vincke also suggests their next release may not happen until at least 2028 or 2029.
In other leaks for The Game Awards, a PlayStation store blunder has pretty much confirmed the return of fan-favorite hero, Leon Kennedy, for Resident Evil Requiem. The age certification board for video games across Europe, PEGI, has also revealed that the leaked Assassin’s Black Flag Remake is titled Resynced.
