505 Games has today announced the development of Subbuteo, coming exclusively to Nintendo DS in September.
In development at Artematica, the much loved tabletop football game has been faithfully recreated to make the best use of the Nintendo DS. Players will interact with the game using the touch screen to set the player position, defend, attack, pass or shoot.
Using the finger-flick icon on the screen players will be able to choose the angle and power of the kick just like the real thing. On the top screen the action will unfold in real time.
The game will feature fully customisable tournaments and leagues, plus a powerful game editor which will allow players to create new teams. The game will also feature online play over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing competitive vs action against players all over the world.
Subbuteo is scheduled for release exclusively for Nintendo DS in September 2008.
