Tango Fiesta, a top-down cooperative shooter which draws heavily on the action movies from the 80s, will launch for PS4 and Xbox One in Q3 2016, Spilt Milk Studios and Merge Games have announced.

“Merge are wicked,” commented Spilt Milk’s creative director Andrew Smith. “The men in charge there were born long enough ago that they love the 80s as much as we do, and they love 4 player co-op carnage even more than that – bringing that to millions of gamers too young to get half the painstakingly written references in the game is a dream come true for us! PlayStation4 and Xbox One watch out.”
The console editions promise to “be improved in various ways from the current Steam version”, though these changes will make their way to the PC version too.
