The last couple of months have been tough for the games industry, with news studios facing closure each day. Redfall’s developer, Arkane Studios, is yet another studio that’s powered its PCs down for the last time following an announcement.
At the very least, Redfall servers will remain online for the foreseeable future, and while the game may not have been successful, at least those who do enjoy it will keep the chance to play it.
Bethesda has also shuttered Tango Gameworks, the developers of Hi-Fi RUSH, an action-rhythm based game that saw a fantastic fan reception. They were also responsible for The Evil Within, the first game I owned on my Xbox One.
Mighty Doom and Alpha Dog Studios have also been shuttered, though not until August 7th.
This is a developing story, with more to come.
