Piranha Bytes’ upcoming action-RPG ELEX will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017, publisher Nordic Games has confirmed. The game had previously been slated for release in late 2016/early 2017.

First revealed last July, ELEX is described as an open-world action-RPG set in a “post-apocalyptic Science Fantasy universe” full of “original characters, mutated creatures, deep moral choices and powerful action”. It’ll also feature jetpacks, Nordic says, allowing for “full vertical exploration”.

The game’s release window was confirmed as part of an announcement highlighting Nordic Games’ 2016/2017 line-up, which also revealed that dungeon-crawling/JRPG combat game Battle Chasers: Nightwar is to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017.
