Runic Games is currently targeting late 2012/early 2013 for the release of its Torchlight MMO.
This news comes from Perfect World CEO Kelvin Lau during the firm’s recent financial call for Q2.
Perfect World is a majority shareholder of the studio developing the title, Runic Games.
“Torchlight from Runic, as mentioned, I think the MMORPG version is going to be – is scheduled to be launched in late 2012 or early 2013, okay?” said Lau.
Recently Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer stated the Torchlight MMO was still “in the plan“, however its continued development depends on the success of the upcoming Torchlight II.
