The adapter required to use Kinect with the new Xbox One S will cost $39.99, according to a new listing on Amazon.

The new console (which releases next month) does away with the Kinect port featured in the original Xbox One, instead requiring a separate adapter to make use of Microsoft’s motion sensing camera.

There may be more benefits to the adapter than expected, though, with Amazon’s listing stating that it can also be used to plug an Xbox One Kinect into a Windows 10 PC. In fact, it looks very similar to the existing adapter already available for the PC Kinect.

But while new customers will be required to fork out $40 for the adapter, those who already have an Xbox One and Kinect can grab one for free when upgrading to the Xbox One S. To nab one, you’ll need the serial numbers for all three devices and follow the instructions on Microsoft’s website.

Xbox One S is due to launch in early August. The new console features a brand new design and a 4K Blu-ray player.
