Over 350,000 PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles have already been sold in the UK this year, according to a report in MCV.

The report suggests that retailer price cuts made to the two consoles may have helped spur on sales, with Xbox One dropping to as low as £239.99 in recent weeks. PS4, meanwhile, was available in a bundle with new release Bloodborne or GTA 5 for just under £290.

It isn’t clear, however, how the sales figure is split between PS4 and Xbox One. MCV states that the data is provided by “UK retailers quoting GfK Chart-Track figures”.

Last month, GAME revealed that over 3 million PS4 and Xbox Ones had been sold in the UK following their launch in November 2013.

Globally, PS4 had sold over 20.2 million units as of March 1, 2015. Microsoft, however, hasn’t updated Xbox One sales figures since November 2014, when it revealed that it shipped almost 10 million units to retail.
